i'm loving this song by jessie reyez, "mutual friend". i've kept it on repeat the whole day. part of the lyrics are as follows "if you died tomorrow i don't think i'd cry/ i gave one too many nights/ i don't care if i sound cold/ it is what it is". it could be fueling my indifference but i like it. it feels so good i can taste it.

so yesterday, a customer called in to make a payment towards his account. nothing unusual about that, right? of course not! well things take an immediate turn as i hear the noise in the background. initially it sounded like he was watching a love scene as the moaning was quite intense. as i'm getting his payment information, the sounds escalate from moans to cheeks getting clapped. and quite vigorously i might add. at this point there is no mistaking he's watch a spicy movie. however, i'm distracted and extremely uncomfortable. i stumble through the call but i tell my sup as the call unfolds. when i say i have a customer watching porn, the confusion that came across the company messenger was hilarious. he fell out laughing when i sent him the call. i told him that i've been traumatized and i need to expense wine and cookies to cope LOL.

now the customer was nice as punch. he wasn't hot and bothered and i really don't think he had a clue that i could hear what he was watching. funny thing is, the purchase he made is for erectile dysfunction so it appears it's working! he's one of the few customers that it works for from what i can tell. so i guess all is good.
