So I had a dream this morning. it's been a while since i've had a dream. i'm glad i had it. it was a confirmation dream. i had a dream that my friend of 21 years met me at a mall to buy hair extensions so that she could install braids in my hair. i lost track of her briefly and mistakenly followed someone else. once i realized i followed someone else, i quickly went on the search for my friend. i didn't have to search long as by the time i found her she had already purchased the hair then i followed on the way out.

i woke up disappointed as i felt this was a waste of a dream. i hadn't had a dream in months and the first one that wasn't remotely scary in God knows how long. but i kept pondering the dream throughout the day. i met my friend when we both worked at spring at the turn of the century. we were both in IT. she is now a career changer studying nursing at the local community college. then i finally got revelation. like she is a career changer, i'm a career changer too. i'm supposed to go back to school for nursing. now it all makes sense. but the biggest revelation is that i didn't get a confirmation until i set up an appointment with a counselor at the local community college. i stepped out on faith and i got confirmation. feels good.

i've never had a desire for nursing...especially bedside nursing. but i believe as i go through the program i will find exactly where i need to be. now i'm praying for scholarships w/stipends. i really don't wanna work a full-time job and go to school at the same time. i'd prefer to do the accelerated program to get done as quickly as possible. if i'm able to score the scholarships i need and stipends, i'll take fmla from work then quit when i'm ready.

i'll update more on friday after the zoom meeting with the counselor.
